New in my Shop!

Image
Good MondayAfternoon, All! :) Saturday was beautiful and I got a lot of cleaning done as well as organized my crafts. I pieced together this and classic card. Another result of my obsession with the pin up culture. ;) All of the items used on this card are recyled. I hope you like her. :-) Rachael's Handmade Designs on Etsy is now a dedicated card shoppe - yay! :-D Very excited about this!!! I reorganized some items and added some new things, so please be sure to check it out. Also made and listed this sweet summer card! Isn't she adorable? Also, only a few more facebook fans until the giveaway! I'm still looking for ideas as a prize. Let me know if you have an idea! As it stands right now I'm thinking a gift card and a pack of cards would be fun! Finished and listed the Knight themed card! Yay! :-D Thanks for checking in. Don't forget to follow this blog and find me on flickr , twitter  and facebook ! Cheers! Xo, Rachael

New In My Shop

Aloha All! General Announcement: I've decided to close the jewelry portion of my shop so that I can focus completely on my cards. All jewelry in my store is 50% off Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week. *** Today I am so excited to share with you my brand spankin’ new little fishing card, for the guys of course! I was just playing around with my cricut machine trying out some new die cuts for some ideas. After I cut the dies I thought that they would be too small for anything, so I set them aside. And when I fell in love with this Kraftin’ Kimmie stamp I realized that it was the perfect size for the die cuts I had previously cut. So I stamped and colored and distressed each die cut and decided to make a cute little easel card! What do you think? Pretty cute, huh? Here’s some pictures of making the easel card.   Stamped and colored and textured the first die cut, then attached it to it's die cut backing. Stamped the bubbles in blue for the bottom part of...

News and Tips

Hello and Good Morning All! All Friday postings are going to be news, tips and tricks from now on. First up, news! I am now a part of Paper Craft Planet! This is a large community that I have only heard of before now. I am flabbergasted at the amount of information on this site! Find me here: http://www.papercraftplanet.com/profile/RachaelBrackett I’m also new to Splitcoast Stampers as well. Last night I finally had the opportunity to sit down and do a little stamping for myself. I stamped some great images from Kraftin’ Kimmie and colored them in with my copics. This is probably my favorite technique! Here’s a picture of how they turned out. I should have the time this evening and weekend to finish up some cards for these cute little images. That’s all the news I have for today my lovelies. Don't forget to follow this blog, follow me on flickr , twitter , and facebook  for specials and discounts only available to my friends! :-)   Cheers! Xo Rachae...

In My Studio

Welcome! So, my craft table is an absolute disaster zone right now. There's stuff EVERYWHERE. (It's strange - I can't really work if it's *too* clean, and I can't work if it's *too* messy.) I wonder if anyone else ever feels like this?!? That's probably a contributing factor as to why I've been feeling artistically blocked lately as well. I need to fold up my table and put it away for a while and rest and get my creative juices flowing again. I have company coming into town this weekend so chances are I'm going to have the chance to craft until next week anyways. So this is the perfect opportunity to rest! I recently took my sewing machine to be fixed. I had used too heavy of a weight of thread and the bobbin had jammed, so I went a few weeks without having any stitching detailing on my cards. :( But! I made a new card using my newly fixed machine! Notice the stitching.  Last night I paper-pieced this bombshell with one of her digital outfit...

New In My Shop

Helloooo Out There in Bloggerland! Thanks for swinging by! I hope your weekend was fantastic and you got some great arts and crafts done and some good family time in. Over the weekend I didn't get much crafting done, but I *did* stock up on supplies! My Paper Zone *finally* started stocking copic markers, so I picked up these beauties. I also picked up some raffia (which I haven't used before on cards, but I'm totally stoked to try!) some flowers (which I haven't found anywhere else but my trusty PZ) some rosettes, which looked fun, and a couple of stamps.  Also, the copics I ordered online came in the mail, which I was totally stoked about because it seems like I was waiting forever. With those I was able to do some trial and error stamping too!   Other than that, I have some new designs that are waiting to be photographed. I expect that those items will debut this week, so keep checking in for updates! Foillow me on twitter , flickr  and facebook  f...

New in my Studio

Happy Holidays! New in my studio this week is Valentines Day cards. I produced several over the last couple of days, two of which are in my shop already. The third I am still working on. It's going to be so cute! Really, I can't wait to see how this one turns out. I LOVE to make Valentines Day cards (which is kind of ironic because I really detest the holiday!) and I love this new stamp set (Raychel) I got from Kraftin' Kimmie, so we'll see! Maybe my little hedgie will sneak in for an appearance as well! Also, I've ordered some new colors for my copic markers that have come. Here they are! And here's the whole collection thus far! I seem to be gathering more and more flesh/E tones. Finding that perfect skin tone has proven to be a rather challenging task! I also made a couple tag sets last night. They turned out well, but some need more work. Here's what I have so far.  More interesting additions soon to be added to the shop, so make sure to ...
