New in my Shop

Welcome Back! Its Monday again (I know, I know) and that means another New in my Shop. This week I've added more stamps to the shop. More importantly, I broke in a new stamp set that hadn't touched ink before to create this card and added it to my shop. I used Bombshell Stamps " Vintage Motorcycle " set, which was perfect for this card. What do you think? Cheers,

New in my Shop

This week has been quite lax on listing new items in the shop. I ran out of glue and had to wait until my super Advanced Tape Glider came in the mail to glue anything down, so I'm a little backlogged. I did, however, have enough glue to make a simple and sweet "thanks" card last week. I thought it was appropriate for spring time in Seattle. If you've ever been to Seattle March or April, you know exactly what I'm talking about! Here is a brand new card I created over this last weekend. Its made with photo paper, ink, rubber stamping and embossing. That's about it for this entry. Cheers, Xo, Rachael

New Cards in the Shop

Welcome Back! I'm glad you could take the time to join me today! I've got a lot going on in the studio, but this post specifically deals with some new cards I have available in my shop. New to the shop is my new Rise and Shine card, which features Bombshell Stamps images. This card won February's Prize Patrol, awarded by my friend and mentor, Cheryl Valadez ! I love this card and I'm so happy that my friends at Bombshell Stamps love it as much as I do (Hi Ladies! lol)!  It's available in my shop. Since May is not that far off, I've started working on some Mother's Day cards.  Thank you cards seemed appropriate, since if it wasn't for Mom willing to have you, you wouldn't be here, right? I love this card because it's so different then my usual style. It's nice to break out of the regular pattern of creating! Below: Here's a Mother's Day card that simply reads "Happy Mother's Day" on the inside and has a hand...

Fresh Additions in the Shop!

Image
Hello to Everyone in Bloggerland! I’ve got loads of new items to share with you, so let’s just get to it!  This little snowman is perfect for the holidays or a wintery greeting. It's a PSX image and is not expected to be available for long. More photos are soon to follow. This item is available in the shop. This 50's rocket has just been added as well. The vintage styling is similar to another item in the shop called the 50's Space Cruiser, so if you like this stamp then you should look into getting both items - they're both vintage stamps and gently pre-owned and loved. Plus, I offer discounted shipping when you buy more than one item.  Here's a large statement pre-owned rubber stamp of a mouse writing some correspondence. It's in very good condition. Color this little guy with colored pencils or copics and see this image jump off the page! Add some style and interest with this handle stamp. Nobody ever forgets who has the best cooking. Mom of course! :)...

Hello and Welcome Back! Its hard to believe that I haven't updated my blog since before the holiday season. Things have been so busy! After the holidays I took a trip to visit my boyfriend in Canada. I just got back to Seattle a few days ago and re-opened the shop to a few sales, which was nice. Of course, there's snow all over Seattle right now, so my customers are experiencing delayed shipping as I have not been able to get home yet. On the bright side, everyone seems to be understanding! :-) Below is a photo of what has come to be known as "Snowpocalypse 2012" in Seattle. Going from -40 c weather with a foot of snow on the ground in Canada to Seattle's +28 weather with little snow and having the entirety of the city freak out just seems kind of odd! Anyways, in the store, the vintage stamps that I've started carrying are absolutely flying out the door. If you haven't had a chance to stop by and check them out, you should before they are all gone...

Happy Holidays from Ours to Yours

Image
Welcome Back! Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you all are enjoying the season thus far! Christmas is so much fun, but it's a bit cold and wet and dark in Seattle, so I find myself bundled up and avoiding going outside a lot of the time. I have some new items to show you! I found this image in my local stamp shop and it seemed appropriate because, after all, I'm from Seattle. I've colored the scene with copic markers and distressed the edges to form a frame, then layered with grey metalic paper and framed it all with striped divine twine. I made this adorable wedding/engagement card the other day as well. I covered the sparrow in glitter like Tim Holtz did, using the technique from his 12 Tags blog entries. I love how the lace frame turned out! I framed it all in grey for a muted color pop. Reads "Best Wishes" inside. There are a few other new items in my shop that you can view here ! I've started carrying a few rubber stamps to add to my collection. Onc...

Monday the 10th: New in my Shop

Image
Happy Monday everyone! I hope your weekend was nice and relaxing. New in my shop today is a sweet little winter-themed card that was posted Saturday. I decided not to go with a sentiment for this card. I think having a sentiment on cards has a tendency to classify cards too much. At any rate, this card is clean and simple. I used a sheet of acetate to give it a cool glossy effect. This is my first time using acetate on a card that is not a shaker card. The image is a digital stamp from Anita Be Stampin. By chance, I can't seem to find Anita Be Stampin on facebook, does anybody have their link? Whenever I click the F on their website it just takes me to my own fb site. Weird. I'm going to be going into detail about how I made this card later in the week. Be sure to check back about that! Don't forget, I'm having a fall sale in the shop right now! Use coupon code "Fallsale2011" to save some money and get cute greetings. :) Cheers, Xo, Rachael

New in the Shop! {Moving SUCKS!}

Image
Aloha again! Gah. Still no stamping or binding in my life right now. I'm complaining to everyone who will listen -won't you lend me your ear?!? It’s very frustrating having to move! I’ve packed most of my creating things except for my markers, and all I want to do is sit down at my craft table and MAKE something! LOL So, I busied myself a few nights ago coloring this beautiful image I found online! He reminds me of my boyfriend’s brother Adam. I’ve added some pieces to the shop. This first gal is a birthday card and features a great little gal from Kraftin' Kimmie. Also featured on this sweet card is so awesome classic car paper that one of my best friends picked up at a book sale, of all places. (Lesson learned - check second-hand book stores and sales for craft supplies!!) and I also added this seven piece birdy invitation set. Each invitation is a little different - the papers alternate between stripes and dots, and there’s birds on every one and the inside...

New in my Shop

Image
Hi All. Wow. So I have added more items to my shop today than I intended! Usually I only like to add maybe one or two, but I've been creating so many cards lately I guess I went into a little listing frenzy! Emily sent me this sweet image of Sheree from InStyle stamps. At first I didn't know what to do with her, but then I sat down and looked through papers, which is my all-time favorite activitiy. I get so inspired! So below is what came of it! I added this darling little tub birthday card to my shop today. Actually, it can be used pretty much for almost any occasion. It's blank so you can use it for a 'relax' gift card holder, a birthday sentiment, or mother's day. Or even for your best girlfriend! I also decided to add this VAVOOM birthday card to my shop! I was really excited to use my new image from Kraftin' Kimmie - she hadn't even touched ink before I made this card. (That's always exciting!) Isn't she cute?! I love the way this ...
