Welcome Back! Hope you're all enjoying the hop! This month's challenge for the blog hop at Bombshell Stamps was to create a recipe card using: 1 ribbon, 2 stamped images and 3 papers. Here's what I came up with. I used Mermaid Anchor  and the seaweed from Mermaid Treasure . Finished this card up with a brown rick rack ribbon at the bottom and three printed papers at the top to simulate waves. Now hop on to see what all the other Bombshells have come up with! Today's card was created with Lawn Fawn Chevron Backdops set paired with Kenny K's Eva Pearl digital stamp. I couldn't wait to color Eva. I picked out her colors and pulled the purple from her outfit for the chevrons. I popped Eva off of the base of the card. I chose to keep the background rather simple because I wanted Eva to be the focal point of the card. I colored her with my Copic Markers and cut her out. I added a simple Thinking of You sentiment to round out this card. Perfect for a naughty little hello. :) I loved working with Eva. She's such a fun character to color!

Here's this week challenge from Speedy Fox and Friends. Recipe cards are so difficult for me! This one was: use 1 paper, two colors and three embellishments. Easy, you think. Yikes, when I sat down to play, my mind went blank. Zip, zilch. Nothin'. But, I think it turned out pretty well! Do you love comics? I'm reading this graphic novel right now called Going to Amerikay and its beautifully done. When I saw this image at Kenny K I couldn't resist. I used the Total Drama image, which I love, obviously, because she's versatile.  I loved coloring all of this image. The hair an the makeup and even the shirt and jewelry were fun too! I added a simple harlequin background to offset the image just a tad. I think it turned out nicely. What do YOU think?

Cassie, the Bombshell Pin Up for November, has challenged all of us to confess to something. My confession? I love mermaids. Always have. I think its a carry over from my childhood - a 'The Little Mermaid" obsession that never really faded. Actually, its more than mermaids - mer-folk of all sorts, and tales about the sea in folklore. So I made this little art tag for my 'confessions' project. Hope you enjoy it! First I created the background. I started with a blank white tag and ran the tag through Green and Blue Distress ink. Then I stamped with a flourish stamp and covered it with glue and glitter, packing the glitter into the glue, and let dry. I stamped out my mermaid image and colored her.  I cut her out and put her on dimensionals to give a sense of depth. I added rhinestones to her hips. I thien background stamped the small icons in the far right corner. I threaded a button and stuck it on and added the "imagine" metal tag. ...

I had a lot of fun with this challenge at Speedy Fox and Friends! It was #134 - Pop It Up. I decided to create my challenge card with the Black Eyed Susans for Encouragement set.
