I wanted to share with you a card that I created recently using a sketch designed by Kathi at Bombshell Stamps. You can see all of her great sketches compiled thus far right here! Kathi is always creating fresh new sketches that you can play along with in the Bombshell Forum as well! As part of the challenge you have a chance to win something! (And really, who doesn't love free stuff?!)
This card features the Bombshell Stamps Ahoy There set, Kathi's December 2011 Sketch and Spare Parts' teal brads. (I found mine at Hobby Lobby.)
I love the detailed sparkly brad bits!!
Anyways, I hope you love this sketch as much as I do. (Check out the sketch challenge in the forum! Its always fun to see what everyone comes up with!)
Over this last weekend I purchased some great digital images to change things up. I'm not really a digital images kind of person, but lately I've been getting more into them. One of my favorite digital images right now is Luna, Woman of Power from Smeared Ink.
I used this color palette for my inspiration.
I also used liquid applique on the lips and added the tattoo on the arm using Bombshell Stamps' Ahoy Sailor small nautical star thingy. It was the perfect size for her tattoo.
What do you think? I love this great image. I'm sure I'll use it in the future. I wanted to keep this card pretty clean and simple until I could find the perfect sentiment to go with it.
I love crows and ravens. They're highly intelligent and beautiful, even if they do get a little noisy at nesting time. If you are interested in the difference between crows and ravens, check out this site. If you're interested in crows and their intellect, you will enjoy this documentary that was done in Seattle recently. A Murder of Crows.
