Happy Dia de Los Muertos - with Bombshell Stamps

Image
Happy Day of the Dead! We're celebrating Bombshell style at Bombshell Stamps! I used Bombshell stamps Sugar Skulls  and the large Alter Skull for this project. I love background stamping in white on black! I'm quite happy with how this project turned out. Maybe next year a 3D Alter?  If you like Alters, check out this project I did with an Alter for Skully Day 2012 Otherwise, leave some love in the comments section! ;)

Hi All! Thanks for checking in to see what's happening! Happy Skully Appreciation Day 2012! Here's my project! I used the Alter Skulls set from Bombshell Stamps, as well as the flowers and heart from the Madonna Woodcut set. I loved this Tryptych die cut that I found! You might remember this project because I've been working on it forEVER. This project was so fun and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was challenging and so cool to see it come together!! Thanks for stopping by! Cheers,

Have you ever played along with the blog cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com? I had never heard of that sketch blog until my good friend Bombshell Em told me that Bombshell Stamps was sponsoring the card sketch this week. So I popped on over and checked it out. The sketch was really quite cute, so I whipped something up! Here it is, what do you think??? Leave a comment and show some love! :-) Cheers, Xo, Rachael

A few days ago I had the urge to draw. So I sketched. I think I saw this image or drawing somewhere, but I tried to recreate it and make it my own from what I could remember. The left hand is weird. They're so difficult, I've never been good at hands. Or noses. I've also been playing around with stamps.  I made this card from an image I stamped AGES ago and hadn't used in one of my projects. I think this card is quite cute! Perfect for that country girl you know. I did something I rarely do on greeting cards, tho. I added a hand-written sentiment to this. Not because I wanted to, but because I didn't have an appropriate sentiment stamp, I don't do individual letter stamps (seriously? As if I don't have ENOUGH crafting supplies!!!) ............aaaand because apparently, my printer is my arch nemesis.  Which leads me to this video. In other news, I made this card for a Kathi's sketch challenge at bombshell stamps. I created another ca...

Welcome back everyone! I’m really excited because I broke 180 fans on my facebook fan site. Wahoo! I’m still going for 200, so when I reach 200 I think I’ll have a giveaway. What should I give away? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think! Wow, have I got some great cards to share with you! I’ve been busy stamping and coloring and piecing items together for the upcoming holidays - Halloween and Dia de Los Muerte, which are probably my two favorite holidays of the year. I was so happy with how these cards turned out, I listed them in the shop before posting here about them. I love this Día de los Muertos because it features one of my favorite sugar skull stamps from Bombshell stamps. It's altered with rhinestones and is handcolored. I love this card because, again, it features a couple wonderful images from Bombshell stamps, one of my favorite companies, and has been hand-colored. I also used my Tattered Angels glimmer mist for the first time on this card to ad...
