I Am Thinking of You with Mark's Finest Papers

Image
Welcome Back. Today's card was created with Mark's Finest Papers set Marsh Silhouettes Stamp Set . I used a technique that one of my favorite stampers uses. Theresa, aka Crafting the Web, uses the Sponging Technique quite often. Last year, when I saw this project she did , WOWEE!!!   So I used her project "Peaceful Savannah" to create my own serene scene.   Instead of sponging I used my Tim Holtz felt blender and my colorbox stamp pads in place of her momento stamp pads.   Doesn't quite pack the same punch, but that's okay!      I'm quite happy with how the muted tones turned out. And this stamp set was perfect for a peaceful scene.      I ended up giving this card to my boyfriend, and he loved it. :)     I hope you like it too. This technique is great and I'm sure to be creating with it once again because I loved how it turned out. What do you think? Have you ever sponged before? Cheers,

Drunken Stampers - Team Bahama Mama - Star Wars (Space/Rockets/Flying Machines)

Hellooooo my lovelies!   [:::Warning::: rant]   Today's project is brought to you by the letter S - for Star Wars. NOT D FOR DISNEY. (If you can tell, I'm still upset that Lucas fucked up the 3 original movies - arguably some of the best movies ever written/shot/produced/whatever by "remastering" them, then "expanding" on them. I'm not sure I'll ever get over my beef with him. I do think its cute that he sits at Starbucks and sips his coffee and knits in the mornings, though. I'm just dreading what Disney is going to do to Star Wars.) ANYWAYS. Check out my card and leave me some love in the comment section! ;-)      Anyways, I'm a little late with this project, but here you go anyways.   Hope you like it! Leave me some love in the comments section. Thanks. Cheers,

A little Update!

A warm hello to all my paper friends!   I'm so happy today. The sun is shining here in beautiful Saskatoon. The snow has melted and I am in a wonderful mood. The summers here are beautiful and spring is in full swing! As such, I've been outside a lot (I've even got my first sunburn of the year!) and haven't been creating much lately. I do, however, have some great projects coming up that I am excited to share with you! So I hope you are all well and happy and enjoying life. Now get out there and LIVE IT!   Cheers, Xo

Drunken Stampers - Team Bahama Mama - Braveheart (Tartan/Plaid/Gingham)

Welcome back! This week's Drunken Stamper Challenge is Braveheart, or Gingham!   I really enjoyed this challenge because I got to use a number of items I've been hoarding, namely the fall accessories.     I got to layer with this tag, using three different types of ribbon!  The little felt owl is on a clip and can be removed from his perch. I'm pretty happy with how this little tag turned out. I wrote on the back and attached it to a jar and gave it to a friend fro her 19th anniversary with the law firm we both work for. She loved it. :) I hope you do too! Cheers! Xo,
